Who we are

Welcome to the heart of British motoring culture in the Ohio River Valley—the British Car Club of Kentuckiana.

Founded in 1982 under the leadership of its first President, Ken Oakley, the club has grown into a vibrant community of enthusiasts united by a shared appreciation for classic and modern British automobiles. What began as a small gathering of like-minded owners has evolved into a longstanding tradition of camaraderie, conversation, and, of course, cars.

At its core, the club is a not-for-profit social organization built around connection and enjoyment. Members come together for monthly meetings hosted at local restaurants, where stories are shared, friendships are strengthened, and plans for the next drive begin to take shape. Outside of meetings, you’ll often find members gathered informally—“tyre kicking,” or talking shop, and admiring each other’s vehicles. When the weather turns fair, the real magic happens: cars hit the open road, and the spirit of British motoring comes alive across the scenic byways of Kentuckiana.

A highlight of the club’s calendar each year is the renowned “British Bash,” held annually in June. This signature event is a celebration of all things British automotive—a true pageant of craftsmanship and character. Featuring a wide array of makes and models, the show brings together enthusiasts and spectators alike for a day filled with awards, raffles, merchandise, music, and community spirit. Whether you’re showcasing a meticulously restored classic or simply enjoying the atmosphere, the British Bash embodies everything the club stands for.

Whether you’re a lifelong collector, a casual admirer, or someone just beginning your journey into British cars, the British Car Club of Kentuckiana offers a welcoming place to connect, learn, and drive.
